MOVIE REVIEWS - 2018
2018 is slated for some big movie releases. There's not much doubt, Marvel Studios AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR is the most anticipated movie of the year. A decade's worth of planning culminates in the largest comic book inspired movie to ever hit cinema screens. The movie will feature the likes of Iron Man, Captain America, The Hulk, Thor, Loki, Doctor Strange, Star Lord, Gamora and Black Widow, locked in a battle with Thanos for control of the Universe! 2017 also sees the return of DEADPOOL, Pixar's INCREDIBLES and the MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE series, along reboots of TOMB RAIDER, PACIFIC RIM and PREDATOR. The Fantasy genre is well represented with Gullermo del Toro's THE SHAPE OF WATER early in the year, Ava DuVernay's A WRINKLE IN TIME, MOWGLI (based on THE JUNGLE BOOK) and Disney's THE NUTCRACKER AND THE FOUR REALMS later in the year. The Horror genre's most anticipated films include a new HALLOWEEN starring Jamie Lee Curtis, the next installment in the ever-mysterious CLOVERFIELD series and THE NUN, the latest thread in the ever-expanding CONJURING universe of inter-connected stories. Given the variety and scope of the cinematic offerings in 2018, it's not a stretch to say the year has the potential to biggest year ever for movies... Oh, did we mention, there's also a STAR WARS movie coming out in May!

Abrams Bad Robot produced movie ended up premiering on Netflix the night of the 2018 American Football Superbowl. The third film in the series is a prequel and tells the story of a Space Station crew who may have been responsible for unleashing the alien threat from the first movie. |
