The 1980s was a watershed decade for movies with Hollywood studios seizing on the idea of the "Blockbuster" that had emerged with the release of Steven Spielberg's JAWS in 1975 and George Lucas's STAR WARS two year later in 1977. Spielberg and Lucas would go on to collaborate on the INDIANA JONES movies; Harrison Ford's titular character became the ultimate Eighties Action Hero.
